END-OF-THE-ROAD FOR IWAJOMO – POLICE NABS IKORODU-BASED ARMED ROBBERY KINGPIN

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspected armed robbery kingpin operating from the Ikorodu area, identified as OMOTAYO IWAJOMO.

Operatives of the Special Tactical squad from the Lagos State Police Command are said to have arrested IWAJOMO at his hideout in Ikorodu on July 15, 2025.

The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP BENJAMIN HUNDEYIN, disclosed in a statement that items recovered from IWAJOMO include an AK-49 rifle and magazines, with twenty rounds of live ammunition.

CSP HUNDEYIN said the suspect confessed to being the leader of a criminal gang responsible for several violent crimes in Lagos State.

The PPRO said the suspect is currently in custody and assisting the police to track down other members of his gang.
