LAGOS POLICE ARREST MAN FOR STEALING NEIGHBOUR’S CAR IN OGUN STATE
Operatives of Ebute Ero Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Jackson Abraham in possession of a stolen vehicle belonging to his neighbour.
Policemen on surveillance patrol arrested the suspect and recovered the Mitsubishi Space vehicle, acting on reasonable suspicion.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect removed the vehicle from a park in Ogun State without the consent of the rightful owner.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin said the rightful owner, who had earlier reported the vehicle missing in Ogun State, has since been contacted and is fully cooperating with ongoing investigations.
The PPRO said the suspect remains in custody as preparations are underway to transfer both the suspect and the recovered vehicle to the Ogun State Police Command, where the case was originally reported and is currently under investigation.
He said the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to tackling vehicle theft and ensuring public safety.
He also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly, stressing that public cooperation is key to effective crime prevention and recovery efforts.
