LAGOS POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED VANDALS, RECOVER OPERATIONAL TOOLS
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has condemned the vandalism of public property, stressing that it is a threat to safety and infrastructure.
CP Olohundare also reaffirms the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the State.
This follows the arrest of two suspected vandals by operatives attached to the Isokoko Police Division of the Lagos State Police Command.
The suspects, Peter James ‘m’, aged 26, and Lesipi Adamu ‘m’, aged 24, were intercepted while removing iron rods from concrete barriers along the road at Ile Zik area.
Upon their arrest, two sledge hammers, two cutting saws, and a pair of scissors were recovered from them.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin said the arrest of the suspects was made possible through the receipt of credible intelligence from members of the public.
CSP Hundeyin said following the conclusion of preliminary investigation, the suspects were charged to court for conspiracy, stealing and willful destruction of public infrastructure.
