NAIRA ABUSE: EFCC ARREST COORDINATOR OF DISBANDED EDO STATE PUBLIC SAFETY RESPONSE TEAM

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) have arrested one Kelly Okungbowa for alleged naira abuse.

Kelly Okungbowa, also known as Ebo Stone, was the Coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team, before it was disbanded by the State Government.

EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest of Okungbowa is a statement in connection with an online viral video in which he was purported seen spraying and mutilating the Naira at a bar on March 9, 2025.

Oyewale said the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
