OKADA RIDER, ONE OTHER CAUGHT WITH 3 HUMAN SKULLS IN OGUN STATE
Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two men in possession of three human skulls in the Ijebu area of Ogun state.
The suspects include one KADIR OWOLABI ‘m’, who was first arrested while allegedly transporting the human skulls on his motorcycle.
Police investigation and interrogation subsequently led to the arrest of another suspect, JAMIU YISA ‘m’, aged 53, behind Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed in a statement that the incident happened on Monday, August 11, 2025, at about 1400hrs.
CSP Odutola said a team of Mobile Police officers from 71 PMF Awa Ijebu intercepted the suspects during a routine stop-and-search operation at Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu, along the Ijebu Ode-Ibadan Expressway.
The police spokeswoman said the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, Ph.D, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case for discreet investigations
She said the CP used the opportunity to reiterate the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to decisive action against all acts of criminality.
He urged residents to cooperate with Ogun State Command, just as he assured members of the public of trust, confidentiality and identity protection.
