POLICE WARNS ABOUT INCREASING LATE-NIGHT ROBBERY ATTACKS ON MOTORCYCLE RIDERS IN OGUN STATE
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, has advised motorcycle riders to avoid late night movements, as they increasingly being attacked by criminals.
The advice was contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who is Chief Superintendent of Police.
CSP Odutola noted that the Command had recorded number of cases of motorcyclist losing their bikes to armed robbers, in which only few escaped unhurt.
The PPRO said the hoodlums usually pretend to be genuine passengers and lure innocent commercial motorcyclists to lonely areas where their gang members have laid ambush to attack and steal the bike, once the approach the area.
