COURT SLAMS FIFTY MILLION NAIRA FINE OR JAIL TERMS AGAINST CONVICTED DRUG KINGPINS

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has convicted two notorious drug kingpins and sentenced them to a combined prison term of ten years.

The convicts are 37-year-old AJETSIBO EMAMI, popularly known as ‘Warri Kinsman’, and 51-year-old SOLOMON AKPOMUAI.

Operatives of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency arrested EMAMI in Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday June 28, 2025, during a three-day operation to dismantle his drug trafficking network.

During the operation, NDLEA officials arrested three other suspects and recovered 24 jumbo bags of Canadian Loud, weighing 414.2 kilograms.

Justice DEINDE DIPEOLU found him guilty of drug dealing charges and sentenced him to six years in prison, with an option of Fifty Million Naira fine.

Similarly, Justice DIPEOLU sentenced SOLOMON AKPOMUAI to four years in prison, with an option of Fifty Million Naira fine, following his arrest by operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service along Shagamu-Ijebu-Ode expressway, with 2,197.8 kilograms of skunk.
